TRAVEL

I was only 48 or so when I left South Africa for the first time.  I had always felt like I never needed to. I think that I was so pro South Africa, having been locked out of the world at large since we were young. In so doing I turned my back on the world, believing that they were inferior and had nothing to show me. Our people and our country was so much more beautiful than anywhere else. We had mountains, beaches, animals and rivers....why did I have to go anywhere to see what we had the best of.  I had been stopped by going anywhere because of an accident of birth, by something my parents and their parents decided on. It was unfair I beleived. So I wouldn't go to any country that had decided to keep me in South Africa.
