 NAMIBIA - On the road....

We loaded up everything and then realised we had way too much stuff so we had to make some radical decisions. Of course my hammock had to stay behind and a few other items. We made the most important things fit. We had the fridge freezer...that was top of my list to go, the tent, the tables, the compressor, the vehicle repair box, petrol, water and loads of other things. Most of it proved a complete waste of time however you can only learn when you try.  I am sure I tried the vacuum cleaner once. Why on earth we had a car wash and waxing kit was beyond me when he has never washed or waxed the car in the last 10 years anyway. It always get's sent out.

I don't think I ever used the rake and the two extra chair full padded cusions ended up under the fridge on the back seat. As I remarked we could survive if there was a nuclear war while we were away. We had enough supplies and enough rope & tape to tie up an army if they decided to attack us.  The 30M extension lead stayed in the car the whole trip. It was fine we had another one with a long multiplug, as well as various adaptors, plugs, chargers etc. So after our snap decision to go to Namibia we were on the road and ready for anything! We had 2 walking sticks, pepper spray and various knives. We unfortunately had to leave the guns behind....
